I liked reading Levi's story. Even though I've read the second book in this series, I wouldn't have had to in order to follow along with this book. Levi is hot. He is alpha all the way and his control is always in place, but something about Sarah makes it difficult for him to keep his usual way of life. After rescuing her from an attempted robbery at the convenience store where she works, Levi ends up getting more involved in her life when he finds out where she's been living. Levi has been trying to get Sarah to go out on a date with him for weeks and if by getting shot for her was the only way to do it, then so be it. Their closeness is accelerated when he offers her a place to stay since the pay-by-the-hour motel isn't going somewhere he'll let her stay - especially after she is robbed and all the money she's saved up to escape town is taken.
Both Levi and Sarah have secrets. Secrets that make trusting difficult. Will Levi convince Sarah to stay in town and stop running from her crazy ex-boyfriend? Will he be able to share the stories of his terrible childhood with her in order to let her in?
While I may have liked the second book, DITY SEXY INKED better, this one definitely kept me reading. It was almost a one-sitting read. Don't miss it if you like dominant, dirty-talking, alpha males.
